Cowes Yacht Haven turned into TV set for the day
HUNDREDS of antiques fanatics flocked to Cowes Yacht Haven yesterday (May 13) as the popular BBC2 programme, Flog It!, rolled into town. An estimated 400 visitors turned up as cameramen, lighting technicians and producers from the hit antiques show descended upon the Events Centre.

Cowes Yacht Haven saves the day
Cowes Yacht Haven has lent a hand to an important charity by stepping in to provide a venue for one of its events. The Events Centre came to the aid of Transplant Sport UK after charity organisers planning a weekend-long event realised so many people wanted to come to their gala dinner that they would not be able to fit into the original venue they had booked.

Lift, Wash and Launch Offer extended
COWES Yacht Haven is extending its special offer of a lift, wash and launch service for less than £100. The offer was due to expire in April but the team at Cowes Yacht Haven has decided to extend it into the summer.

The popular marina has welcomed Pelican Racing, which will offer visitors the chance to take part in races, lessons and leisurely sailing, even if they don’t own their own boat.

Cowes Yacht Haven Supports Local Businesses
COWES Yacht Haven is supporting local businesses by offering them reduced rental of retail units during Cowes Week. The marina has pledged its support to island firms by offering them a 10 per cent discount on hiring marquees to trade from at the world-famous sailing event, where it will be business as usual, despite the lack of a title sponsor.

SICK babies are set to benefit from money raised at a black tie dinner, being held at Cowes Yacht Haven on Saturday, April 18. A special evening of food, music and entertainment at the Events Centre has been organised to raise money for the Barely Born Appeal.

Cowes Yacht Haven Visitors Roll up their Sleeves
GENEROUS visitors to Cowes Yacht Haven rolled up their sleeves last week and added to the impressive amount of blood collected at the venue over the last year. Donors at the Events Centre gave a total of 87 units of blood on March 4.
