Isle of Wight NHS party at Cowes Yacht Haven

Cowes Yacht Haven’s Events Centre came to life last night as more than 250 staff from the island’s NHS took part in their annual Christmas quiz.

Nearly 30 teams battled it out in the quiz competition, which was held at the Yacht Haven for the first time this year. Organiser, Jenny Honeyman, said that they decided to hold the event at the Yacht Haven as the event had grown over the last nine years and the venue provided enough space for everyone.

She added: “We were looking for a bigger venue and Cowes Yacht Haven ticked all the right boxes. They sorted everything from the food to the microphones and there was always someone there on the night to help. The Events Centre is in a great location which meant even people from the mainland could get home easily by hopping on the Red Jet.”

Ian Gregory, Events Centre Manager, added: “Staff at the NHS work so hard and we were delighted to be able to provide them with a venue to let their hair down and have a good time.”
