Skandia Cowes Week
Cowes Week 2008 will be an emotional but action-packed event! As we bid farewell to Skandia, the official sponsor, we want to make sure they go out with a bang!
Within Cowes Yacht Haven there willl be, of course, the famous beer tent, as well as several trade stands from renowned companies; an enhanced array of cusine; and this year, why not come and have a go on the bucking bronco absoutely free?
Entertainment
Live entertainment will start each day from 2.30pm. The music is provided by a variety of bands including, 'Smoke and Mirrors' who re-live the timeless sounds of 60's folk rock as well as arranging, singing and writing more modern ballads; Live on Monday are ‘Blues Power’ thriving on delivering ‘blues tunes to groove to’ from Gary Moore to Van Morrison and many more in an irresistible style that captivates and entertains; 'The Allstars', who headline on Tuesday night, are a professional and lively party band based in London, UK. The band have extensive experience in the music industry and are currently being used by pop artist Jamelia, playing for her live shows; live on Wednesday night at 10pm are the 'Hanging Baskets' who are London's most original cover's band! Wristbands
Entrance into the yacht haven is free until 6pm after which wristbands will be required. Wristbands for Cowes Yacht Haven are now on sale, priced at £5 from Friday 1st August - Thursday 7th August and £10 for Firework night on Friday 8th August.
If you would like to be part of all the action during Skandia Cowes Week 2008 come to the Marina Office at Cowes Yacht Haven to purchase your wristbands or buy them on the night.
