Ben Ferris, our Marina Manager reports that it has been an extremely busy, exciting and successful week in Cowes Yacht Haven. The Coutts Quarter Ton Cup competitors comprising of 33 boats arrived on Sunday and were then joined by 40 – 45 Swans all vying for top places in the Swan European Regatta. The marina has been a hive of activity all week and resonated an atmosphere of good humoured competition with much fun and high jinx .
This weekend will see the Swans depart and we will be hosting ‘Total’ a Britannia event; the PWC Sunsail event and the IRC Championships. We are also looking forward to welcoming the Panerai Classic Yacht Challenge which always provides fantastic photographic opportunities and an awesome display on our local waters.
It's been a bumper season for the resident berth holders and dry sail fleet at Cowes Yacht Haven, with celebrations beginning back in April (25-26 April) as Salvo, helmed by Peter Morton, took home the Warsash Spring Series.
As Toe in the Water, an initiative that uses competitive sailing to inspire injured service personnel to see beyond their injuries, comes to a close, Cowes Yacht Haven looks back over the seven years it has supported the charity.
