Cowes Yacht Haven hosts the world-famous premier sailing regatta
Since 1826 Cowes Week has played a key part in the British sporting summer calendar and is one of the UK’s longest running and most successful sporting events.
Cowes Yacht Haven is the place to be during this famous sailing week for a buzzing atmosphere, great food and drink, and live music every single night.
Entry to the Yacht Haven remains free all week with the exception of Firework Friday where an entry fee is charged on the gate. Access all the action straight from Cowes High Street or direct from Town Quay.
Cowes Week always offers a great mix of competitive sailing and social activities. The 8,500 competitors range from Olympic and world class professionals to weekend sailors. In excess of 100,000 spectators come to watch the sailing, enjoy the parties and live entertainment, and to experience the unique atmosphere. It is genuinely a one-of-a-kind event.
With over 1000 yachts participating, from high-tech racing boats to classic day boats, and with 8,000 people involved, it’s no wonder that Cowes Week is the longest running regular regatta in the world.
As well as sailing activities, Cowes Week offers a large number of onshore activities. Around 50,000 visitors in addition to all the competitors are attracted to Cowes each year by the festival atmosphere of the event.
