North Sails Cowes Week 2026

Official Sponsor Cowes Yacht Haven hosts the world-famous sailing regatta

Since 1826 Cowes Week has played a key part in the British summer sporting calendar and is one of the UK’s longest running and most successful sporting events.

Cowes Week offers a great mix of competitive sailing and social activities. The competitors range from Olympic and world class professionals to weekend sailors.  Visitors come to watch the racing, enjoy the parties, and experience the unique atmosphere. It is genuinely a one-of-a-kind event.

Hundreds of yachts participate, from high-tech racing boats to classic day boats, and with thousands of people involved, it’s no wonder that Cowes Week is the longest running regular regatta in the world.

As well as sailing activities, Cowes Week offers a large number of onshore activities.  In addition to all the competitors,  thousands of visitors are attracted to Cowes Town each year by the festival atmosphere of the event.

Cowes Yacht Haven - Competitor Village

Cowes Yacht Haven, often regarded as the spiritual home of Cowes Week, delivered a vibrant, crew – and family-friendly experience for this bicentennial regatta.

At the heart of the action, the main hospitality area was located on the south side of the site, with convenient access to the Red Jet terminal and all that Cowes High Street could provide. Designed to be welcoming and inclusive, this central regatta hub was free to enter and open to everyone, whether racing or not.

Inside, visitors enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the Musto Sailors’ Bar, alongside engaging sponsor activations from Mermaid Gin and Mount Gay Rum. A Big TV Screen kept everyone connected with the day’s highlights and results, while a small stage hosted a programme of evening live music from 5pm (See the full list below), creating a relaxed and sociable setting to unwind after racing.

For those wanting a maritime view, visitors were encouraged to stroll along the north wall, which wraps around the north basin and offered an exceptional vantage point to watch boats arriving, departing, and preparing for their races.

The hospitality area was open daily from 10:00 to 23:00, extending to 00:30 on Thursday and Friday evenings, with free entry for all visitors throughout the week.

Food lovers enjoyed a variety of offerings from local Isle of Wight traders, showcasing an impressive range of produce and flavours. As Cowes Week marked its remarkable 200th year, Cowes Yacht Haven was proud to have supported this iconic regatta throughout its history, playing a longstanding role at the heart of the event.

A highlight of the week for many, guests were warmly invited to gather in the hospitality area on Friday evening to enjoy the spectacular firework display, and raise a glass in celebration of a fantastic week of racing.

For early risers or those on the move, the Pontoon View Bar and Food Outlet, located in front of the main Cowes Yacht Haven buildings, was open daily, serving morning coffees, refreshments, and food throughout the day.

Cowes Yacht Haven was proud to support the North Sails Cowes Week Regatta as an official sponsor and very much enjoyed the 200th anniversary celebrations.
