Management Team

What does Anne-Marie enjoy most about her job? Without a doubt, it’s working alongside the fantastic CYH team. Every day brings something different, whether she’s overseeing finances, managing budgets, producing forecasts, or supporting the HR side of the business. She loves helping to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Anne-Marie says she’s also lucky enough to enjoy some pretty great views from her office window, which definitely makes spreadsheet season a little more enjoyable!

Outside of work, Anne-Marie’s a passionate horse rider and has spent the last 30 years in the saddle. She’s owned her much-loved horse, Mouse, for 22 wonderful years, and there’s nothing she enjoys more than riding through the countryside and making the most of the great outdoors. One thing that might surprise people is that she volunteered as a Special Constable with Hampshire Police for three years, an experience that was both rewarding and memorable. If she were an animal, she’d definitely choose to be a cat – independent, curious, and always managing to find the best spot to relax! As for how her colleagues would describe her, she’d like to think they’d say she’s approachable, fun, and perhaps just a little bit mad in the best possible way.

Meet a colleague who brings both energy and precision to the team—drawn in by the camaraderie and keeping everything running smoothly with top-quality admin and a genuine passion for spreadsheets. When he’s not busy organising data, you’ll likely find him out on the water, teaching his family to sail and sharing his love of the sea. With a degree in Agriculture and roots in a family that once ran four flour mills on the Isle of Wight, there’s a rich and surprising story behind the scenes. A true Leo, he proudly identifies with the strength and spirit of a lion, and his daily routine is just as well planned: coffee to start the day, and definitely tea in the afternoon, and lights out by 10:30pm sharp.

When not at work, you’ll find Katy out on the pitch playing hockey, catching up with friends, or helping shape the future of the game as part of the management team for the Isle of Wight Ladies Football representative side. A fun fact that often surprises people — Katy’s a twin! If she had to pick an animal, it would be a chimpanzee, reflecting her energetic, social, and spirited nature. Film nights are best spent watching favourites like Double Jeopardy or The Shawshank Redemption. An early bird through and through, Katy starts the day with a coffee and winds down in the afternoon with a cup of tea — its the perfect balance to keep her going.

This is Maude.  Head of motivation and customer care.

Maude’s our four-legged team member and expert in winning hearts! What Maude enjoys most about her job is all the cuddles, attention, and fuss she can possibly get. Day-to-day, she focuses her efforts on perfecting her irresistible puppy-dog eyes for customers—a skill she has already mastered despite being only three months old. Outside of work, she loves exploring the beautiful Isle of Wight countryside on long walks, although she’s equally happy with a nap afterwards. Her biggest strength is simple: everyone seems to go completely gooey when they meet her! If she could be any animal, she’d still choose to be a black Labrador, and her colleagues describe her as cute, cuddly, and blessed with wonderfully long legs and floppy ears. As for motivation? Maude follows a straightforward philosophy: sleep, eat, repeat. And favourite books, films, or podcasts? Well, she’s a dog—she’s far more interested in treats than literary reviews!

Boatyard Team

One of the best parts of Callum’s role is getting to meet and interact with so many four-legged friends, each with their own personality and charm. Outside of work, his passion for dogs continues as he spends time supporting dog charities in Thailand, helping organisations that make a real difference to animals in need. As for what he brings to the team, he’s been told he has a particular talent for talking—quite a lot, apparently! Whether it’s keeping conversations flowing, sharing ideas, or bringing a bit of energy to the day, there’s rarely a quiet moment when Callum’s around.

Marina Team

Amy thrives when things get busy, especially during events where the fast pace keeps her on her toes and every day brings a new challenge. While Amy no longer works afloat, she still loves being part of the marine industry and enjoys learning more about how marinas operate. Outside of work, you’ll usually find her out on the water—sailing is a real passion of Amy, she says she’s lucky enough to own her own boat, which is used for everything from leisurely cruising to the occasional competitive race. When on holiday, Amy likes to swap sails for scuba gear and explore fascinating shipwrecks beneath the waves. With a background as a yachting instructor, Amy is always happy to share tips and advice with anyone new to sailing. A fun fact that often surprises people is that Amy has skippered 22-metre yachts and even taught amateur crews how to race around the world! When it’s time to relax, you can’t beat Amy’s all-time favourite film—Top Gun.

Meet one of the friendly faces helping make every visit to the marina a great experience! What Ellie loves most about her job is the fantastic atmosphere, meeting new people, and working alongside such a brilliant team. From helping boats safely come alongside to welcoming customers at Marina Reception and getting everyone checked in, Ellie’s always focused on making sure visitors leave with a smile. Outside of work, she enjoys sailing and fishing—anything that involves being on or near the water. Colleagues would describe her as cheerful, and she’ll be the first to admit she probably sings a little too much throughout the day! Motivated by the wonderful people she works with and made even happier when the sun is shining, Ellie brings plenty of positivity, energy, and good humour to the team wherever she goes.

Gabriel loves nothing more than the buzz of the summer season, whether it’s chatting with customers on the pontoon, catching lines, or keeping everyone connected on the VHF radio. A valued member of the marina team, dealing with the boats that come in and ensuring everything fits together neatly. Away from work, you’ll find Gabriel walking his dog, paddle boarding, or squeezing in some sailing whenever he can. If Gabriel was an animal, he’d be a flying squirrel—adaptable, energetic, and always ready to glide into the next adventure. Known by colleagues as the “Triple F”—Fun, Flouncy, and Fabulous—he brings plenty of personality and positivity to the team. Fuelled by coffee and powered by his night owl tendencies, Gabriel is always ready to keep the marina running smoothly while making it a fun place to be.

Gavin’s someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people—it’s the conversations, relationships, and teamwork that make every day interesting. When he’s not at work, you’ll often find him out on the water taking part in Wednesday Wight sailing in Yarmouth, making the most of life on the coast. If Gavin were an animal, he’d definitely be a dog: loyal, friendly, and always happy to be part of the pack. Gavin’s favourite book of is 11/22/63 by Stephen King, a brilliant mix of history, suspense, and time travel. To keep him going, it’s strong coffee all the way, and as a proud night owl, he’s usually at his best when everyone else is winding down!

Meet our customer champion, whose day-to-day mission is simple: keeping customers happy and making sure everything runs smoothly. Outside of work, you’ll often find Ian enjoying the focus and precision of clay pigeon shooting. A true team player, Ian’s always willing to share his knowledge and help others learn new skills and succeed. While Ian’s colleagues might describe him as scary, helpful, and productive, there’s a fun side too—Ian can juggle three balls at once! If he was an animal, it would be a tiger: big, cuddly, and approachable, but with a bite when needed. Motivated by a genuine love for his job, Ian brings energy and enthusiasm to everything he does. And when it comes to refreshments, it’s both tea and coffee, thank you very much —especially for an early bird who’s ready to get started before most people have hit snooze!

Simon loves that no two days are ever the same in his role. The variety keeps things interesting and gives him the chance to tackle new challenges every day while focusing on delivering great customer service. One of Simon’s key strengths is being able to adapt quickly to changing situations and environments, which helps him stay positive and effective no matter what comes his way. What motivates Simon

most is knowing that he can play a part in helping the company grow and succeed into the future. When he’s not busy making things happen, you’ll usually find him with a coffee in hand—and as a proud night owl, he’s often at his best when everyone else is starting to wind down!
