British Classic Week

The British Classic Regatta, organised by the British Classic Yacht Club, is an annual regatta held at Cowes Yacht Haven.

Taking place from 27 June to 2 July 2027, the UK’s premier regatta for classic and modern classic yachts continues to attract an impressive fleet of around 60 beautifully maintained vessels. A favourite with both dedicated sailors and spectators alike, the event offers a spectacular display of maritime heritage, and Cowes Yacht Haven is delighted to provide a safe berth for these timeless yachts.

Entries are invited from classic yachts built in wood, steel, or aluminium to a pre-1970 design, as well as modern classic yachts constructed in the spirit and appearance of traditional designs.

The regatta features five days of IRC handicap racing, organised by the Royal Yacht Squadron, with a programme that includes both long passage races and fast-paced inshore courses. The varied format delivers competitive racing, exciting sailing, and plenty of enjoyment on the water.

Ashore, the atmosphere is just as vibrant. The social programme includes a range of popular events, from drinks on the lawns of the Royal Yacht Squadron and dockside gatherings to the regatta’s highlight, a glamorous evening dinner.
